After the solar street light is generally installed, the time for
replacing the battery for the first time is 5 to 7 years after
installation. Before this, the solar street light can be used and
operated normally, because other components except the battery have
a service life. They are very long, the life of solar panels is
generally 20 to 25 years, the LED usage time is 15-20 years, and
the controller life is 8-10 years.
If the solar street light is damaged before the initial replacement
of the battery, it is caused by the following reasons:
1. The configuration is not reasonable
Unreasonable configuration will cause the solar street light to be
charged normally every day. The battery will be overloaded for a
long time, which will shorten the service life of the battery. We
suggest that when configuring the battery capacity, there should be
more than 20% of the balance. The battery plays a very good role in
protection.
2. The installation method is wrong
Some solar street lights are very reasonable in configuration, and
the quality of each component of the product is also very good.
However, because the installation method is not correct, the
battery can not be charged properly. Common installation errors
are:
(1). The installation angle of the solar panel is wrong.
For China, the installation direction of solar panels is generally
about 15 degrees west of the south, and different areas need to be
adjusted accordingly.
(2). Blocking of buildings and trees
Solar street lights are installed in buildings and trees that block
sunlight, causing solar street lights to fail to charge properly.
(3). The solar panel is covered
Some construction sites and contaminated areas are dusty, or have
many leaves, or heavy snow. After the solar panels are covered, it
is difficult to recharge, causing long-term loss of electricity,
thus reducing the life of solar street lamps.
Solar street lamps are expensive. When installing solar street
lamps, we should install them according to requirements. We should
also maintain them regularly in order to ensure that solar street
lamps can work normally.
